Chicago Tribune Endorses Bill Foster
Caps off remarkable string of newspaper endorsements for scientist & businessman on March 8
(Chicago, IL) - The Chicago Tribune today endorsed Bill Foster for the Saturday, March 8 special election to fill the seat vacated by
former
Republican Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert.
Long known as a voice for fiscal conservatism and political reform, the Tribune highlighted Foster's emphasis on solving problems in government:
"So we'll trust Foster when he says he would emphasize transparency,
responsibility and bipartisanship in government. He is endorsed."
The Tribune also chastised Oberweis for the false, misleading campaign he has waged:
"[Oberweis'] campaign style has consistently been nasty, smug, condescending . . . and dishonest."
Foster will also unveil the long awaited endorsement TV advertisement of Senator Barack Obama TODAY capping off a remarkable string of support he has received with the endorsements of the Aurora Beacon News, DeKalb Daily-Chronicle,
Kane County
Chronicle, Northwest Herald, and Algonquin
Countryside.
