Sen. Durbin Joins Foster for Health Care Round Table

Illinois' Senior Senator Dick Durbin joined Bill this morning for a round table discussion with doctors about the state of health care. Doctors and medical professionals at the Dreyer Medical Clinic in Aurora expressed their concerns to Senator Durbin and Bill about health insurance and medical care.

Bill supports increasing access and cutting costs through a hybrid approach to health care reform, using public and private entities to provide a basic level of care to all Americans. His opponent, Jim Oberweis, advocates getting rid of the practice of employers providing health care -- a position that would force working families to fend for themselves in the health insurance marketplace, denying access and raising the costs of health care.
