Foster votes for change
Scientist & businessman urges 14th District residents to avoid long lines on election day by casting votes early Thursday
(Geneva, IL) - Taking advantage of expanded early voting, congressional candidate Bill Foster voted today in the Democratic Primary and Democratic Special Primary elections at the Kane County Clerk's office in Geneva.
"With the presidential election still wide open, voter turnout will be extremely high. However, this also will mean long lines," Foster said. "Thursday is the last day to vote early. You can make your voice heard while avoiding the long wait times on Election Day by early voting."
Foster voted for himself - twice - as well for as Dick Durbin for U.S. Senator. Senator Durbin has endorsed Foster's candidacy for Congress. Foster also cast his vote for the other U.S. senator from Illinois - Barack Obama - for president.
"Over the course of the last few months, I've watched the energy, the hope, the enthusiasm surrounding the campaign of Senator Barack Obama. I've become convinced that he is the best person that can bring the change this country needs."
Foster also reminded residents of the 14th Congressional District that there are two primaries - the regular primary and the special primary - and that voters must vote twice, on separate ballots, to choose their candidate for Congress.
