Democrats 14th District: Foster

JANUARY 19, 2008
(KANE COUNTY CHRONICLE) — In the Democratic Party race for the 14th Congressional District-four candidates are vying for the opportunity to win Dennis Hastert’s old seat.

The candidates are Bill Foster, Jotham Stein, John Laesch, and Joe Serra.

We are endorsing Foster.

Foster is a businessman and scientist who has lived in the Fox Valley for 24 years.

Foster has an impressive background, having worked at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. He also was one of the founders of Electronic Theatre Controls.

Foster’s scientific background and analytical approach to problem solving could be beneficial in Washington.

Foster supports bringing the Iraq war to an end and responsibly withdrawing the troops. On health care, Foster supports moving to a universal health care system. He would consider major reforms to reduce costs and more efficiently use health care dollars.

We have no doubt that Foster would work hard for the 14th District, and we believe that he could be an impressive candidate for the Democrats in the general election.
