Bill Foster Responds to Oberweis’ Fermi Attacks
Geneva, IL- Businessman and Scientist Bill Foster released the following statement, in response to Jim Oberweis' political attacks on funding for the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab):
"Saving jobs and research at Fermilab is too important for partisan attacks, and Jim Oberweis' mudslinging won't ensure Fermilab's future or save a single job. As a former Fermilab scientist, I don't need to be lectured on Fermi's value - certainly not by someone who wants to turn the lab into a political football.
"Jim should know better. This is a crisis for the economy and the people of the Fox Valley and the 14th District, not a time for partisan bickering."
"This illustrates perfectly why Mr. Oberweis would not make an effective member of Congress," said Foster.
