Geneva, IL -- The following is a statement from businessman and scientist Bill Foster on the passage of the expansion of the State Children's Health Insurance Program in the House of Representatives today.
"The House did the right thing yesterday by passing health care for children, and it was a start in putting together Democrats and Republicans to work on our problems. Unfortunately Dennis Hastert has rejected this in the past and was not even there to cast a vote this time. It's a fair question to ask the Republicans seeking to represent the voters of the 14th, do they stand with him and President Bush, or do they stand with those of us who want expand the healthcare coverage for children?" said Foster.
